My daughter went blue for a while and I loved it. It's a look that's wonderful on some girls. Of course, as the mother of a fifteen year old, I couldn't tell her that. And, sadly, when the heartbreak was over, she went back to strawberry blond.
BTW, whatever the cake is celebrating, happiness to you; you bring us so much fun and happiness (and a little angst).
Happy Uber Birthday!
Do not forget today is not all about you, this day\date many many years ago (or not too long ago but that's possibly irrelevant) you came into this world probably kicking and screaming, and someone else was kicking and screaming alongside you, be sure to thank that person as well :D oh that and the person that contributed the other half of you too...
yeah happy date of birth for you!
Yeah but would SHE know that?
When you're having a conversation with someone do you use correct grammar the whole time? Sure if it's something you KNOW then you get it right, but if it's something you don't, you make a mistake and probably no-one pulls you up on it. Perhaps Gib made a mistake, or perhaps this is Lauren's bowdlerised French, or perhaps it's Gib's bowdlerised French perfectly plausibly masquerading as Lauren's bowdlerised French. I know you're right, but I don't see a problem with the inaccurate vernacular being used in dialogue like this. So I'm the 'THAT arsehole' to your 'that arsehole'...sorry!
oh man...melanie! Prefered it non-blue myself, but definitely understand the allure of something drastic and extremely different for post-asshole. Awww.....it is amazing having a few more happy moments before things head down again (which I'm betting they will evntually.
Alright. Vive liberation is a phrase I've been hearing for years from friends and others, so in that sense it fits that someone would be saying it here, correct or not.
Except that it's Lauren. Stupid Lauren science queen. Lauren would know French, or at least enough to know her articles properly. So, I researched it and came up with a number of instances in which the "la" was omitted...in French, mind you...but it was obvious for whatever reasons that the "la" was more proper. If it wasn't Lauren, I might not have bothered...but it was her, and so it was changed.
So I'll say this...it wasn't a typo but it wasn't a purposeful error like I've done so many other times. It was a mistake of poor French on my part and I thank the person(s) who pointed it out. I will say also that no one really believes someone when they say they hate being that asshole. We all know that people really love being that asshole.
I love reading your comic Mr Twist.. It takes me off to a world I wish I was a part of. My university life is really not like Peter's, and I wish it was.. all the loneliness, homesickness and feeling like a fish out of water doesn't belong in here and I appreciate that I can come here and dream.
My first attempt at college was very much like this. For me it is nostalgic. But the story line with Melanie was also very immediate for me, as during that line, I was beginning to realize just how abusive my relationship was. The excuses...man, it was like reading my thoughts. I cut my hair very short when he left. I'm letting it grow back out now.
