I've had my place robbed (and been mugged and been the victim of identity theft) more times than I'd care to admit, and every time the police have told me there's nothing they can do but file a report. They still manage to find the manpower to send someone to my place to tell us the party is too loud, and there's someone whose job is to make sure the grass in our yard isn't too high. I'm not someone who has a hate on for the police or anything, but I'd sure appreciate it if they'd spend a little more time looking for my shit.

Also! A good friend of mine and an artist whose work I enjoy is in need of some quick cash and is opening for commissions! Even if you don't have any spare funds, check her out, but if you are able to commission some art from her, she'll work for it.

Her artwork is bold and unique...I mean, you know when manga fans yarp on that not all manga-inspired work looks the same? Hers is the work they should be talking about. On top of that, she's working offensively cheap. Plus, she's fun.

It is a universal good to click this link and take a look... http://antitimett.deviantart.com/art/Commision-sheet-info-199899201

Wow...
I love the hindu inspirations in her commission sheet!

Also, a marvelous update as usual. Thank you, Andy, for being the voice of frustration.

Hm... I dunno. I'm not buyin' that it was him. Not sure why though.

He does know that most banks cover against theft? All he has to do is prove that someone stole the money from his account surely?

Guest818 (Guest), July 18th, 2011, 2:27 am

@Quadrant - If they were sharing an account, or he was listed as authorized user or something, it's not theft, it's an entirely legal withdrawal. There'd be nothing they can do. Sounds like something Alexander would have pressured Patrick into doing somehow.

If Alex knew (by being told or by being sneaky) the PIN number to Pat's debit card, that's as good as a signature as well for many banks.

Been reading for a bit. Little jealous of the life these characters have. Hope most of the stories are true in some manner of speaking. Bummed out Peter dropped out but at least he's doing what he wants.
Love the work. Sort of helped me out.

Timing, Andy D:
Damn. Hope Patrick didn't have anything of really high/sentimental value.

My family's house was robbed several years ago, and even though our neighbors were thieving drug dealers who'd had visits from cops countless times, and there were fingerprints EVERYWHERE, the cops said they couldn't do squat. "Just kids", they said.
None of them seemed interested in my "oh look, the drug dealers have kids. GO CHECK THEM" idea. Ughhh
My mother lost dishes and silver from her wedding, and many things she'd collected from overseas throughout her life.

@Quadrant

Guest818 is right. And further more, if it's someone you know it's considered "Friendly fraud" and there's nothing that a bank will do for you.

I KNEW it was you <3
my pageviews shot up in a day and a couple people have offered, thank you soooo much, Gibs

On the subject of the robbery, I honestly was surprised but only because I thought you were going to throw us for a loop and try to prove he wasn't a bad person, just manipulative. But this works too, cause yay, now he's back!

I feel like andy shouldnt be mad at patrick. Melanie was also in an unhealthy relationship and didnt leave until it got really serious, even though everyone was telling her to leave him. Its the same way with patrick.

Uncle Nutsy (Guest), July 18th, 2011, 11:27 pm

lesson to be learned
If anything, the lesson here is make sure you don't have the majority of your money in a shared account. Or any of your money in a shared account.

Now maybe patrick will learn to listen to what people are saying (sound familiar?) and go back to how he was in the first place.

if your artist friend is the red head in the pics on deviant art tell her that i might look her up after im done paying off my brother inlaw for the two commissions that he,s working on. i realy like her work. oh, and in the immortal words of the mask, SSSSMOKINNNNN!!!! I,d be her willing slave ! ;)

MartinJ (Guest), July 19th, 2011, 9:07 am

@Catnipfairy
You're right, Catnipfairy, but the thing is, Patrick was a complete douche about it and abandoned his friends because of his relationship.

Melanie, on the other hand, was simply naive, and still loved her friends and her brother and wanted to be with them.
