Chapter Three, Coming Clean

This page gave me a lot of trouble for a lot of different reasons, but I knew it would going in. I think this whole chapter is going to give me trouble, though. Ah well, let's plunge.

Ah, the joys of employment.

nicely done. even got the spring on the hose. drawing tough jobs is tough.

It might sound weird, but my time as a dishpig was one of my more enjoyable gigs. The work wasn't glamorous, but no one gave me a hard time, I could zone out and still work, and not once did I take the job with me when I left. Plus, that sprayer was fun as shit and the staff meals were crazy good. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Superman! A bloke would never, ever be able to do that. He'd just leave them for as long as possible and find other things to eat off. XD

At first I thought he was having to wash 'em all by hand, then I saw the magic industrial dishwasher. Aww, I love those things.

Being the dishpig is a pretty mundane but easy-as-hell job. Just zone out and let your mind wander.

I've finally caught up! I can't imagine being stuck with the suspense of waiting for the pages now. I'm loving your story!

Thanks, Shalahoyden!

What is it that he's holding in his right hand in panel two?

Drendar (Guest), August 22nd, 2011, 1:48 pm

the opening arm on the dishwasher, I worked as one for five years, I am quite aware of the operations involved in his new job,

TCGC (Guest), August 22nd, 2011, 1:52 pm

He's holding the pull bar for the dish pit.

When I was taking professional foods in high school (which was a bitch to get accepted into), we had the whole deal - four compartment sink, dish pit, and the spray hose thing. I had that shit on lockdown.

That's job satisfaction right there in panel 4.

Possiblyrandom (Guest), August 22nd, 2011, 6:04 pm

That looks familiar...
... Waitaminute... That's MY job! It's almost like I didn't leave work today... D8

LoL joking, dishdogs really DO have the best of the lower-wage jobs out there. Low stress environment, the work can be ridiculously easy once you figure it out, and the free food is as good as it is convenient. So much better than the theater! =D

Accomplishment...
is always a good feeling. Good to see he's back up on his feet again =]

Black Ice (Guest), August 23rd, 2011, 2:18 am

Look at that spotless shit.

Drendar (Guest), August 24th, 2011, 12:09 am

It's also one of the few jobs out there with instant gratification... if shits clean, you did a good job.

BlackRosePhantom, August 24th, 2011, 1:17 am

Ugh
This reminds me of when I used to be a dishwasher. I lasted two weeks. I hated that job, and my bitch of a boss always complained that I was too slow, when I was never a dishwasher before and she compared me to her other dishwasher of 9 years.

ZerkLaw (Guest), August 24th, 2011, 3:40 am

I just read everything in one go...took me around 5 hours but now I can add one more to my ongoing list.

Thank you for this amazing comic.

I was wondering when people were going to start posting.

I hope everything is alright with Mr. Twist. I don't think he's ever done this before.
