I agree with jodie... for a moment I thought that was Peter talking in the first panel, and was most confused. Hopefully once Patrick is through all his drama, he might go back to his natural hair colour, or black again. I've met very few people (or characters) e who I think bleach blond/e looks good on. Patrick is not one of them.
Every page I read of this, I admire the perspectives you use during the characters' conversations. They're so amazingly fitting for the mood and they set up a great atmosphere. And you've really got the busy club feel going rather well.
For the people not being able to tell the difference between Peter and Patrick: Peter has blue eyes, too long hair that's all over his forehead, and very thick eyebrows. Patrick has green eyes, short hair and slimmer eyebrows. Also, the nose lines (you know, those tiny strokes on their noses) are different - horizontal, think Peter - vertical, think Patrick.
Okay, guess that's enough.
And about the page... I pictured it too and I liked it.
I don't want to be insulting, but I think some of you need to adjust the color on your monitors or something. Even without all the helpful things MonkeyDomi pointed out, their hair colors are completely different. Peter's hair is almost gray and Patrick's is BRIGHT blonde. I'm really not understanding the confusion here :/
I'm even more in love with Michelle now than I was before! She had soooo many good lines this page. <3 She and I think very similar, when you're going down, gotta hit the very bottom before you try to get up.
I've always liked Michelle, from the beginning. It's her style, and her attitude, and much more. While I like all the characters because of the fantastic character evolution in this comic, she's a top favorite.
I don't know, I can still tell Peter and Patrick apart fine (and my glasses are broken, mind you). I dunno, maybe it's just me.
Also, sticking up for the good Reverend, I'm pretty sure he meant "I think she just wants to see Patrick suffer as much as half the people who read this comic (want him to suffer)." Just to clear up any and all confusion.
I think I can safely speak for both myself and anyone else who has said they can't tell Peter and Patrick apart, and note that we don't mean that literally. I trust that yes, everyone can use various indicators to figure out which is which. It's more that, for a moment there, we'd mistaken Peter for Patrick or vice versa, while we were busy reading the text and not focusing on the image. It's not that we're blind.
I'm not sure about everyone else, but typically when reading through a comic I focus on the text before the art. Up until now, Peter has been the only character that's look anything like well, Peter. When I glanced at the panel to register who was talking, I registered Peter as the first speech bubble when it was in fact Patrick.
It's not like it's a problem that won't correct itself with time. But I think his hair looks even worse than before, so I'm all for it just going back to black or something entirely different.
