Oh, and hey, one of our fantastic readers, Emily Gould, happens herself to be a writer and has an offering of e-books for sale! I did some quick research and am assured e-books are not those books that don't have the letter E in them, nor are they books on ecstasy, but digital books available for download right to your very own computer! Neat, huh?
:D Patrick has some wonderful expressions on this page. I am actually kinda intrigued as to what Riley was writing; he was scribbling a fair amount given that all they've done so far is sit in a minivan...
I think I'm pretty open about the fact that Pat's one of my favorite characters, so this really pisses me off. If he's gonna be high and mighty and preachy, that's one thing. But wanting to read through someone's journal is as scummy as you can get.
Of course Mulligan won't stick up for Wiley, because he's too cool for that or whatever the fuck he thinks about himself. And Andy really should have said something, because I was under the impression that he was a decent human.
Sounds like Pat's wanting to take advantage of their shared status as "big brother" to Wiley. I bet someone's gonna break Wiley (I've always had a sneaking suspicion that he commits suicide), and I'd be surprised if it wasn't someone in the band.
From my understanding of what has been foreshadowed, I also sadly believe Wiley will end up commiting suicide. Now, we don't know when, how or why it'll happen. One of the group breaking his spirit? Maybe. But also, maybe he's already on the way down, and Patrick sneaking in his journal might've helped him see his distress, and allowed him to help. If hell is paved with good intentions, the road to redemption can sometimes start with unpure toughts.
gibson's avatar picture
i would just like to say, apart from absalutly loving your coming, i love and piss myself laughing everytime i see, your avatar picture gibson. best comic strip and best panal of the entire series!!!!
I'm afraid this band trip might be the tipping point in the story and all will go to hell after this. The thing that makes me cringe the most is what might happen to Wiley. Poor guy.
What if his journal's just some private and embarrassing stuff that he doesn't want anyone to see? Knowing someone went through your deepest, darkest secrets can be mortifying.
Honestly though, I think Patrick's gonna read it anyways. This is gonna be bad :(
Aw c'mon guys, Patrick screwed in the last arc, he's not gonna screw up this one. He's just joking! It's tactless, but it's still a joke probablyish. He's not gonna read Wiley's journal atthemomentish.
