Hey, look at that! Our first full week in the new format and schedule! I'm even starting to get used to it. No one ask me what book they're talking about, I have no answer. If you think you know a book that fits the bill, shout it out loud!

Cameo this page? Why, it's man-about-town and Olympic medalist Mike J!

The answer is obvious...
Mein Kampf. Hitler was a big fan of Crime and Punishment.

Sam sense his anger, his frustration, but little does Christo know, these are the path to the darkside.

why is sam letting his girlfriend walk alone with that guy

Pointless (Guest), 06 Jul 2012 07:55 am Reply to this comment!

Huh?
Haha, he's "letting" her walk with a guy? You're right, of course. How he's restrained himself from curbstomping McGoaty is unreal! Just listen to that statistics-flirtation!

@jodie: Because it would be rude to interrupt the conversation, if he did then she would ask why, if she figured out why then she would get angry feeling that he is either overprotective or wants to control who shes friends with..... the spiral can only go down my friend.

@Guest: I wonder what her feelings would be about reading something from Jefferson, Franklin or Adams. Probably not "cool".

Yeah, my opinion is starting to shift here. While Christo's still doing his whole Columbo spiel, Rick keeps brushing him off (and even added a STFU stare at the end of the last comic). He knows Christo's on his case, but the guy made zero effort to even acknowledge Sam, and that bothers me. Sam's too laid back to lose his shit over this, unlike Christo, but I'm wondering if his reaction is one of annoyance toward Christo or if he's starting to pick up on the same vibe.

I'm projecting here, but if my gf started chatting up some random guy, I guess my reaction would be between Christo's and Sam, in that I wouldn't antagonize anyone, but I sure wouldn't just hang back. I'd try to engage the guy in some conversation, at least.

Sam, is there something you're keeping from us? Is your lack of reaction here due to the fact that you've also been real friendly with some girl Lauren doesn't know about and you feel guilty about it? Or are you just so cool about things that even Chilly Palmer gets his pointers from you?

Or...
Perhaps TRUSTS Lauren, and while they may chat about his observations later, he isn't going to flip out about it because he knows that Lauren has no intention of throwing him over.

I think Lauren's just dumb
Oblivious, really- dumb's too unkind. But she definitely does have a pattern of getting over an attraction that's unsatisfying or whatever when a better model swoops in. She had something going on with some dude named... Scott? I think. Then Peter was all dreamy and naive, and she liked him, and then Samster swooped in being sweet and awesome and less of a dumbass than Peter.

But lately Sam's seemed detached from Lauren- everyone, really. I wouldn't be shocked if Lauren became interested in Rick.

I think Sam's behavior toward Lauren has been distant. I might be nitpicking, and I get that all couples are different, but it annoys me when people walk between me and my partner. Our arms are too different lengths for us to hold hands, but I just like being able to walk next to her. If I were one of them, I'd push the Spanish Fly to the side.

And Sam's being pretty quiet, I guess since he's thinking of his gallery. But him meeting Rick and almost wordlessly greeting him, and giving him progressively dirtier looks the whole time? I guess he might be afraid of conflict, but Sam never struck me as a guy too shy or whatever so not even say hello. But it seems obvious to me that he is peeved about Rick.

Aaaand I think Rick is lucky that Lauren is so oblivious, because most gals would have gotten spooked at this point.

I know it's probably just me...
but I've just remembered a line from the very beginning. Didn't elder Peter say something like that at some point he didn`t think he'd see Lauren and Sam together like this again?
I know, I'm paranoid.

This is my first post on here. First I was hoping sam was going to catch on. I was starting to think he was having a Peter moment. lol

Also i just want to say a little something. I bookmarked your webcomic almost a year ago, but I never read it. I just glanced at the first page and though this could be interesting. on friday was when I first started reading (due to procrastination in my calc2 class studies) it and over the the last day and a half I feel like this comic has become a part of who I am. Its made me want to live and pointed out things i have been so blind to in the world. I really want to thank you. the last 30+ hours have been a great ride. I am now actually inspired to possibly now convert part of the story of my video game into a web comic format. Thank you And i will continue to be a loyal reader

I think that Lauren isn't so stupid, she's just...hmmm...acting it. I guess that's not really the term I'm looking for, though. I think that she likes Rick as a friend, their personalities mesh well, she may even be somewhat attracted to him, that wouldn't be surprising in the least. But, despite this, I don't think that anything will happen between them. They may flirt in a friendly fashion in the future, and it might cause a rift between her and Sam, but I don't think it will be the instant cause of why Sam and Lauren split for one reason or another. I believe that Lauren definitely realizes that Rick is interested in her, but is acting oblivious due to a combination of not knowing him well enough yet, being with Sam presently, and that if she tried anything at all, Christo would be...unpleased. Very, very, very unpleased. Plus, she might not even be interested in Rick that way, and's feigning obliviousness to fend him off in that regard, while still being able to talk to him as a friend. =3 But, this is just MY theory, not the canon as it shall be portrayed by our good friend Mr.Twist.

You Hooked me.
Hey Gibson, my name is Nick Rodriguez, you might know me better as brother of Elliott Rodriguez, the artist who was part of your earliest snapshots series. Anyways i just found that snapshot for the first time (he never told me about it... pshhh) and i just gotta tell you, im hooked. I've spent the last 2 days power reading through the whole series. It's the most apprehensive/scared/excited/sad/happy/nostalgic ive ever felt while reading a comic. Anyway i just wanted to let you know how awesome i think you are. Keep at it! Please!
