Apparently it isn't common everywhere, but the local term back in the day was The Peeler. Only the really classy dudes called it that, though.

"Where ye to?"
"Down the peeler."
"Beauty."
Sophistication, right there.

Cameos! It's the front of Francois B's head this time, and the back of Emily A's.

Could this guy possibly be more of a douchebag? Why doesn't she see that?

jodie (Guest), November 14th, 2012, 12:15 am

@Vicki actually i feel michelle is being more douchey here but he deserves it ha ha

miquashi, November 14th, 2012, 3:07 am

Him seems to be rationalizing why someone would work there. as a "waitress" or to "pay their way through college". he's basically losing points with me here. He kinda makes me want to face palm a bit

TCGC (Guest), November 14th, 2012, 3:54 am

Francois looks like he's hearing their conversation.

And wants to slap Rick.

Slap him right in the fucking beard.

With a gun.

wloff, November 14th, 2012, 4:44 am

To be fair, at least Rick's trying to be friendly and strike a conversation here.

Doing a pretty shitty job at it, sure.

Looks like Michelle will be having some new clients.

Quadrant, November 14th, 2012, 8:19 am

Who are you, guy with beard and brown hair that has clearly got a naked Michelle on his mind.

Not sure there is any better way than calling a strip club, that is after all the proper term for it isn't it?

mitchellbravo, November 14th, 2012, 8:33 am

@Quadrant: You could always go for the vague "The place," as in this case "That's the place out east, isn't it?" :P

Though let's be real, his first response there should have been "Whoa, awesome!"

iamed2, November 14th, 2012, 8:44 am

Instead of accepting what she does as normal and moving along (the polite thing to do), he rationalizes out loud about why he feels what she does is socially acceptable.

Hearing people rationalize like that when you know it's happening is really awkward in real life...

Waitaminit
Is that me? The dude with the serene/eavesdropping look on his face? I say this because he pretty much looks like me except for the missing glasses and the slightly longer hair. And I'm Jean-Francois B., not Francois B. Maybe it's someone else and I just really want to be him. :P If it is me, though, that's pretty much the look I'd have. Ah, Michelle... if you existed, I'd by you a shot n' a brew.

Anyhoo, regardless of identities and all that, I must say that I think Michelle's taking the hostility a bit too far here. I mean, wouldn't it be ruder to just assume she's a stripper, instead of bar staff? Wouldn't it also be rude to assume she strips for anything other than tuition money? Lastly, what's wrong with calling it a strip club. It's what it is, folks. Not a burlesque house, not an exotic dancing establishment, not an ermahgerd titters place, but just a plain ol' strip club. I guess calling it a gentlemen's club would be more politically correct? Frankly, I don't see how someone as blunt as Michelle who takes off her clothes for money would be so offended by this.

Fyb (Guest), November 14th, 2012, 12:21 pm

@Jeffko: Sorry Jeff, but that would be me! Drawing is pretty damn spot on with the picture I sent, except for the clothes (understandable since it was a close head-shot).

So Mr. Gibson, a second cameo, full face this time? Thanks a million times, my life is now complete!

And if I really was sitting there, yeah, I'd be both thinking of kicking that blonde douche's ass, and planning a trip to La Belle Maison to go cheer on Michelle a bit! :)

Jeffko, November 14th, 2012, 12:24 pm

@Fyb: Ah, well there ya go! Keep rockin' that beard, man. I'll see you at Belle Maison.

Los (Guest), November 14th, 2012, 8:04 pm

@Jeffko: The problem *is* the assumptions. Granted, her shoulder is glacial cold towards him, but the conversation would've been a lot smoother as:

R: Oh where do you work?
M: La Belle Maison.
R: Really? That's that place out east, right? What do you do there?

I cut it there because I can't really predict the level of scathing sarcasm Michelle would use in her reply. Either way, she's seeing right through this guy. And I'd almost bet money that this entire scenario will play out without Lauren once asking herself "Why didn't he put anywhere near that much effort into talking to Sam that one time?"

Jeffko, November 14th, 2012, 10:45 pm

@Los: I see your point and am very much looking forward to Lauren's reaction to all this. She got pissed at Christo and Sam, but it remains to be seen how she'll deal with this. It is indeed interesting that Rick is putting more effort into his conversation with Michelle, clumsy as this effort may be, than he did with the boys.

Amber Mint, November 17th, 2012, 2:47 pm

Love Michelle's reactions to people... XD She doesn't even care who it is, she can tell when they're a real jerk.
