Ralend: It's sometimes a lot harder to see something if you're close to the situation.

I'm already cringing up thinking about telling michelle. Poor Peter, this is really not a position anyone wants to be in. She looks like she already knows something is wrong... but it's worse than she thinks :(

"Under a fucking bridge without me," eh?

I must say Mr. Twist, thank you for posting every day on this part of the story. It's really toughful of you to keep the story going along at a brisk pace at a time like this.

It is very likely that this will totally destroy Michelle.

Quite the wordless exchange

First of how many?
Thinking back to the prologue, the first strips of this ever published, "Where's Wiley?" seemed rhetorical....now we have an answer. What does that potentially mean for the other two characters mentioned in Peter's musings at that time...? {deliberately non-spoiler-y for first-time readers starting here} One has to wonder how close we are to actually reaching the timeframe of that flash-forward...

Michelle's other possible reaction
...may be relief. She was tired of shouldering the responsibility after all, it being pushed on her and not her calling, not her intent nor desire. F--ked up as Wiley was when he jumped, this outcome (while not inevitable) was still highly likely. That's the only consolation she'll be able to find. If this had happened before she had truly gotten fed up, the self-recrimination would have destroyed her; as it is, it'll be hard, but I'm guessing (and hoping) not *that* crushing.
