A win is a win.

We're beginning to really see how much Christo looks at the world- especially women- as a game to win.

I wonder how he lives with his one night stand with Melanie, and can't wait for that to come to a head.

He stood up for himself, and to a friend!
Maybe he’ll also grow more confident. That logic professor is still the person with the most faith in his abilities, and they didn’t even like each other.

And it didn't end well

Christo has a serious problem of self-control when it comes to sex. Even starting from his backwards view of women, back in "The learning curve"

Christo's character
Christo's final comments about how "the game is not over" and "that counts as forfeiture": Everything is just a game to him, and the only that mattered to him is the game.

All in all, Christo is, and has always been, a player. And Peter is, and has always been, a fighter.

Masterfully written scene illustrating the clash of these two personalities!

For a moment, I was happy to see the return of the chess scenes, but I think this is the saddest one I've seen yet. I mean, I saw a meltdown between these two coming, but seeing it delivered during one if the chess scenes is just heartbreaking. Which is to say, good writing.

The effort you expend and lengths you go to in order to rip out our hearts is much appreciated, Gibson. Thanks for the shenanigans!

(Jesus, does that last sentence make us readers masochists?)
