You heard Gib, folks: Webcomicking will get you instant chicks. That's totally how I'm interpreting it, and I can't fathom why one wouldn't...Nope. It's full proof. "Hey, baby, I've got a webcomic." Done deal. In fact, I'm gonna go try it out right now! What could possibly go wrong?!
Shadowy person at the door!!! Ah.. who could it be?.. I'll admit my head didn't assume Mel but after i read the comments... oh man..
And awesome! Webcomic=chicks indeed!
well at least good comics do apparently!
First of all, Mr. Twist, please accept my belated congratulations and best wishes on your wedding. May you both find strength and joy in each other, and may you forever laugh together.
(Oh and tezzle, keep the faith. I played the guitar for years and girls were not any more interested in me than they were before I started. But the first words my wife ever told me were "Hey, I heard you have a guitar?". All right, so technically the first word she ever told me was "Hello", but there you go.)
I love Michelle's face; she's inordinately beautiful here. But I still think her use of "you wouldn't understand" is code for "I know I'm wrong but I'll be damned if I admit it".
Given the hair, the only person it could be in the last panel other than Melanie would be Patrick, presumably looking for help to get his sister out of a losing fight - or maybe just trying to borrow a condom or two from Andy. Or of course, it might just be someone else altogether - say, Andy's date for the night or - shudder - Sandy Green, at long last caught by her husband ...
Then again, if it is Melanie (it just could be, you know), nothing says she's battered physically. She might just be exhausted from the ordeal - I'll assume it was one - or she might feel more right than ever in the past few years and be coming over to give Michelle a hug for kick-starting the events.
But I'd rather it wasn't Melanie. That way, we would still get to see the breakup scene with Devon. I mean, we've been treated to the breakup we didn't want to happen, so now please give us the breakup we wanted to happen at least since "A Wise Investment"! Please!
All right, so I need to go to sleep because now I'm envisioning that Wild Haired Shadowy Person is actually Devon, who has come to beat up on Michelle for kick-starting the breakup (Melanie having inadvertently let it slip). He will try to hit her and probably get one in easily since she's focused elsewhere, but then Christo will pounce to the rescue, will get his ass kicked as well until Michelle comes back and saves Christo. Both will be impressed that the other would leap into a fight for them, and feelings will smoothen. (Not saying they will be a couple again, but they might be on speaking terms with each other.) I'd like that.
One last thing: last time we saw her four pages ago, Melanie had a ponytail. So if it's her, she's lost it - which means a probable fight. (Ugh, now I can't unsee Devon pulling her by her ponytail - awful, awful!)
The above not being canon except if and where I'm right.
Again, all the best on your wedding, Mr. Twist. Make that another beautiful story.
