Today's incentive is more pointless fun. I had a laugh putting it together, so I hope everyone gets a kick out of it. You guys are great.

Oh no, he's trapped in the fog! Come on Peter, put your hands in the air! Don't ya wanna watch the ballgame?! *is lobotomized*

LeyLegbreaker, July 30th, 2010, 12:23 am

OMG the incentive is hilarious xD And today's comic very warm and nicely written/drawn. Would write more but I don't know well how to put things in words so, just letting the picture and text with the atmosphere sink in, looking forward to the next update as usual, and hoping the best for both Mel n'Peterle.

I wonder what the big truth is. I sense something huge coming up.

Bonez (Guest), July 30th, 2010, 3:30 am

Hey, I'm new. Just finished reading through the whole thing and read my first proper update today. Something about this comic feels like it may be based on some true events. I this true?

Today's Comic
Wow! Great dialog.

Brilliant. The collection of yelling faces/mouths is killer. You're an artist, man.

Amonyoshu, July 30th, 2010, 10:48 am

I'm with Lee A.. I complimented your artwork on the last update. Your writing is also exceptional, especially today. You bring new weight to the phrases that you use. You don't hide behind cliches, but get straight to the heart of your intended thought or feeling. I've never seen '90s nostalgia done this well, and I'm fully invested in the plot that you're building here. *mad thumbs up*

Thanks Amon and Lee (and everyone else.) The biggest thing I've tried to get across to other webcomickers (at least, the ones who bother listening to me) is that writing matters and the more you invest in your writing, the more people will invest in your comic. The sheer volume of comments and compliments like these bears me out.

And to Bonez, yes, this is all inspired by real people and real events. Enough has been changed that it is complete fiction now, but that hasn't stopped the comic from winning an award for Best Autobiography a couple years ago and being nominated for another this year. And hey, thanks for reading!

Everyone tell your friends!

I can see the motivation behind every character on this page...this is very well thought out, the reactions make sense, the choices are clear and powerful...I've actually used your comic to help with my acting somewhat, though that may sound weird...

On another note, I'm getting my own laptop soon for college. Did anyone save that wallpaper from a few days back? I wanted it pretty bad, but this isn't my computer, so...blargh.

Send me an email, I can hook you up.

LOL! That incentive was friggin great! Also, this page somehow has me concerned for our friend Slugger. Now I have to know what this newly uncovered truth is!

dangerface, July 30th, 2010, 4:13 pm

Great Incentive!
Consider me officially incented!

teh_nothing, July 30th, 2010, 6:13 pm

So who is going to smack Peter in the back of his head and wake him from his funk?

reidavidson, July 30th, 2010, 6:46 pm

I just realized that Lauren looks like she's about to shoop da woop in her second panel in the incentive...

Maritza Campos (Guest), July 30th, 2010, 7:21 pm

I suppose the problem Peter thinks he has is that he has some sort of anger management problem.

I think he's right. Not in this particular instance, but he *should* be able to control his slugging impulses.

Because one day, he's going to end in jail or permanently damaging someone. Peter is a good person, so he needs to address this. Even if the other party deserves to have their ass kicked, he should be less hot-blooded about it.

The incentive

darkamnios (Guest), July 31st, 2010, 12:04 pm

I been away from home for a week, but had someone log in, vote -since i dont have my laptop with me- and read me the comic over the phone.
So thank you for an addictive story, as always <3

NemFX (Guest), July 31st, 2010, 12:53 pm

Incentive? Where do you get those? :)

Gibson Twist, July 31st, 2010, 1:18 pm

NemFX, you can see them when you vote for Pictures of You on Top Webcomics. Scroll up and you should see a link just over the comments section.

Bonez: Glad to see there's someone else at the exact same point as me. Wow, what a ride it is to this point.

Writing is immaculate, art is impeccable too. What an impressive body of work. Damn you for distracting me from my beloved thesis edits and revisions. I love them sooooo much.
